  • Job Details
  • This is a telemetry (Tele) nursing position, requiring specific tele skills.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac telemetry, preferably within the past6 months.
    • Capability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, with a maximum of 2 attempts.
    • Must pass a SIM LAB on day one of orientation.
    • Must have experience with common titratable &/or set rate drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone.
    • Nurses must be able to read & interpret tele strips as there's no monitor tech in the ED.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts (7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am)
      • Ability to self-schedule with potential variations.
      • 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule.
      • Holiday shifts rotate with the permanent staff.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Nurses on this unit will be caring for patients from the ER waiting on a hospital bed.
        • Responsibilities may include helping with ED patients, taking vitals, starting IVs, and administering medication.
        • Will not be the primary RN for ED patient assignments.
          • Additional Details
          • Travelers must be prepared to float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and EDs as needed.
          • No call required.
          • Navy colored scrubs/dress code.
