experienced Staff Engineer Systems to join the SEIT team within the
Launch Vehicles business unit to support the Minotaur program at
the Chandler, AZ facility. The Minotaur launch program provides
satellite to on-orbit capability to government customers using
refurbished Peacekeeper and Minuteman boosters in addition to
integrated Northrop Grumman boosters and avionics systems. Staff
Engineer Systems: Performs technical planning, system integration,
verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and
effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at
all levels of total system product to include: concept, design,
fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and
disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer
or product requirements into total systems solutions that
acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs
functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies,
requirements allocation and interface definition studies to
translate customer requirements into hardware and software
specifications. Role and Responsibilities:
- Serve as Lead Systems Engineer for the Minotaur program
requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary
environment.
- Possess strong technical problem solving, written and verbal
communication skills to generate and document system level launch
vehicle requirements, perform vehicle performance assessments and
participate in system level verification/data review
activities.
- Regularly interface with program management, engineering staff
and external customers.
- Possess a strong resolve to drive tasks to completion
autonomously and possess demonstrated mentoring/training
skills.
- Implement and manage system requirements in the Requirements
Management databases (DOORS).
- Support system design/development, data analyses, interface
verification, testing, and failure/anomaly resolution.
- Prepare and present materials at program major milestone
meetings.
- Manage systems engineering activities, work products, and team
dynamics using agile/scrum methodologies.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering
or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and -12
years of related experience or a Master's degree in a STEM
discipline and 10 years of experience, or a PhD and 8 years of
experience.
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance is required
- Ability to travel Salary Range: $147,700 - $221,500The above
salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop
Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary
offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and
the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market
conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for
overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
