TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Chandler, Arizona, 85224 Pay Information $2,169 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Stepdown - B3B PCU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights, every other weekend; first to float, could float to sister facility Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Required to submit Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance; only 2 attempts allowed - Experience with EKG monitoring - RNs are required to titrate drips including cardiac, heparin, Lasix, and bumex Job Description: - Auto-offer based on clinical prescreen. - Pass/fail Sim Lab on the first day of orientation; failure results in a 6-month disqualification. - Unit: B3A focuses on Cardiopulmonary Telemetry & Neuro; must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. - Unit B3B specializes in CHF Telemetry. - The unit has 30 beds; nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3-4. - Charge Nurse does not take patient assignments; a manager is available. - Patient Care Technicians are available with a ratio of 1 per 15 patients. - Nasal Cannula, BiPAP/CPAP used for obstructive sleep apnea. - RNs must be able to interpret EKGs as there are no Tele/Monitor Techs. - Self-scheduling is allowed, with 12-hour shifts from 7-7. - Every other weekend shift requirement. - Holiday shift requirements include 2 major and 2 minor, depending on contract dates. - No call or standby requirements; on-call status depends on fluctuating census. - Floating requirements include any telemetry floor. - Navy scrubs required as part of the dress code. - Unit-specific orientation involves 2 days on the floor. - Patients typically present with CHF, general Telemetry, fluid overload, shortness of breath, arrhythmias, and alcohol-related issues. - Cancellations allowed up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. - Charting System: Cerner.
