  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED. The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience. Flexibility is a must. COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.
    • Job Requirements
    • 3 full years of current ICU experience
    • Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
    • Active AZ license or compact license
    • Ability to float to sister facility Mercy Gilbert, if needed
    • Every other weekend is required
    • Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts
    • Pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation
      • Schedule Information
      • Contract length of 13 weeks
      • Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage
      • Self-scheduling. Manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs
      • 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule
      • Nightshift weekends are Friday - Saturday. Dayshift are Saturday - Sunday
      • May have 1 holiday off in an assignment
      • No additional call/standby shifts required
        • Unit Specific Information
        • SICU: Trauma, neuro and specialty devices
        • MCU: Medical Cardiac + Overflow
        • CVICU: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
        • Charge Nurse responsibilities: Yes, do not take patients
          • Additional Details
          • Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery
          • Level 1 trauma Center
          • COVID, sepsis, ARDS, common titratable & set rate drips
          • No nursing aids, only sitters and Health Unit Secretary
          • Intensivist in house 24/7
          • Self scheduling and block scheduling possible
          • Navy scrub color/dress code
