  • Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in ED Holds/Tele
  • Must be able to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving the offer through RELIAS
  • Pass/Fail SIM LAB on day one of the orientation
    • Schedule Information
    • 12 hr shifts (7a - 7p or 7p - 7a)
    • Ability to self-schedule, subject to change occasionally
    • 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule
    • Rotate in with the perm staff for holiday requirement
    • No call required
      • Unit Specific Information
      • Ratios: 1 to 4
      • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: ED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele
      • ED PCTs available
      • May be asked to help with ED patients including vitals, IV starts and medication administration, but not as primary RN for ED patient assignment
      • First to float, could float to sister facility Mercy Gilbert
        • Additional Details
        • Strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years
        • Experience with common titratable &/or set rate drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone
        • No Vents on the unit
        • Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips as there is no monitor tech in the ED
