• Certs: BLS, ACLS. Chemo certified a plus.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS is required.

  • A large hospital in Arizona is looking for Oncology nurses for a travel assignment.
  • The right candidate will have two years of experience and hold an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
  • St Josephs Hospital and Medical Center is seeking Oncology Acute Tele T6 nurses.
    • Job Requirements
    • Two years of experience in nursing.
    • Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
    • An active Arizona license or compact.
    • LEVEL I TRAUMA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
    • Basic Dysrhythmia Exam Required PRIOR to sending the contract.
    • Completion of SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes (with some exceptions for certain units).
    • Must be competent in maintaining sterile field as these are nursing skills that are performed frequently.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 7-7 shifts
      • Weekend Requirement: At least 1 weekend per month.
      • Holidays: Work into rotation.
      • 12 hour days, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays
      • Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.

        • Unit: Oncology Acute Tele T6
        • # beds: 32
        • Ratios: 1:4 ratio
        • EMR: Cerner
        • Charge Nurse: Yes, light patient assignment. Oncology resource RN.
        • Tele: Phillips. RN to interpret EKG.
        • Vents: Bipap, Cpap
        • Floating: Float to other MedSurg/Tele units
          • Additional Details
          • Chemo certification is a plus.
          • Nurse Aides: 2 PCTs days and nights
          • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 85% Oncology patients / 15% Tele medsurg. Surgical, medical, Oncology patients.
