a Principal Manufacturing Engineer at our Phoenix, AZ site where we
design and manufacture lifesaving equipment for the military and
commercial applications, including armor for aircraft and ground
vehicles, helicopter seats that absorb the energy of a crash,
parachutes and floatation collars. We are seeking a Principal
Manufacturing Engineer that Designs manufacturing processes,
procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment
installation, processing, machining and material handling.The
person selected for this role:
- Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to
ensure most efficient and productive layout.
- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the
fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect
product performance.
- Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production
conditions.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- 4-year Bachelor of Science degree
- Experience supporting multiple manufacturing process
concurrently.
- Experience developing and writing manufacturing documentation,
first builds, TTP to support all the phases of LCM.
- Exposure to composite manufacturing or similar
environment.
- Mechanical assembly experience ideal.
- BOE/labor estimating experience or similar experience in a
manufacturing environment.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience supporting R&D in the development of new
products.
- Maintaining DTC for tooling, labor and material, DFA/DFM, Error
proofing, Escape proofing, Develops and writes manufacturing
documentation, first builds, TTP supports all the phases of
LCM
- Soft goods experience (sowing, etc.)
- Maintains time standards
- Maintains sequence of operations and revisions
- Capital Expenditures- Production machinery and tools. SOW,
quotes, CAP-EX information, MOC, PSSR.
- Train leads- Machine operation
- Manufacturing Tolerance Stack for tooling and process
- Program Autoclaves, precision oven
- Continuous Improvement projects
- Safety Training or OSHA certification
- Discrepant material - process NC, write support work orders,
Repairs, corrective action, redline work orders
- BOE labor estimates- Production and Engineering Support
- Independent Cost Estimates
- Production Tooling maintenance/support
- Support AS9100 audits
- Kaizen team events
- A3's
- 5S
- Manufacturing Cell development and maintenance
- Support Obsolescence recovery
- Macro writing-Excel, VBPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range:
$102200 - $173700Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
